Ons verhaal
The founder of yalla.nl started guiding excursions at the age of 15 and a year later organized a trip to an orphanage in Romania for his high school classmates. He already knew that helping others and organizing trips was his passion. In 1998 he set foot in Morocco for the first time and immediately fell in love with the Arab culture.
Who we are
Yalla is one of our favorite Arabic words and it is a common expression for “come”, “let’s go” and especially “hurry up” in the Arabic language. It is an abbreviation of the traditional Arabic word “Ya Allah”, which literally means “Oh God”. You hear it everywhere, with drivers and guides shouting “Yalla yalla!!!” shouting, which means “Let’s go, let’s go!” means.
We’ve been putting together tailor-made trips since 2011, and since then we’re proud to have helped thousands of travelers around the world make their well-deserved vacation a reality.
Our goal is to provide our travelers with an authentic, local and customized experience that benefits both the traveler and the recipient. We achieve this by only staying in local accommodations, working with guides from the community and giving back to society through NGOs.
